Reverentia

The Maison

A vision of contemporary luxury, more restrained, more introspective, profoundly mastered

Our History

2022

The birth of a vision

Reverentia came into being around a founding intuition: to make perfume an expression of inner nobility. The Maison then set out on a demanding quest, to bring together perfumers able to translate this vision into olfactory matter. The first exchanges began with Chris Maurice. On 4 September 2022, the first proposal for Écorce Divine opened the creative dialogue. At the close of the year, Reverentia held its first Private Test Event, a confidential and selective gathering meant to confront the creations with discerning, international eyes.
2023

The expansion of the olfactory language

In August 2023, an encounter with Shadi Samra gave rise to a new creative direction built on the alliance of oud and fruit. At the end of the year, a second Private Test Event brought together guests in Europe, Asia and the Middle East, confirming the international, cross-cultural reach of the Reverentia vision.
2024

Matter becomes object

The year 2024 marked the completion and validation of the prototyping of the Reverentia bottle, developed with French designers: a piece conceived as a silent architecture, made to extend the language of the Maison into the object itself. A third Private Test Event was held between Europe and Asia, continuing the dialogue between creation, perception and maturation.
2025

The culmination of the first chapter

Each fragrance required more than two years of research, adjustment and maturation. After five years of development, Écorce Divine reached its definitive form. The founding fragrance thus became the culmination of Reverentia’s first creative cycle: a work shaped through time, precision and mastery.
2026

Opening the chapter to the world

The Maison opens its doors and now asserts its presence through a measured diffusion of its language: an editorial voice, the construction of a singular visual imaginary, and dialogues with the international scenes of authorial perfumery.

The Noses

Reverentia’s creations are born within a circle of perfumers, united by a shared discipline yet guided by profoundly distinct worlds. They are not brought together to produce a uniform signature, but to allow different sensibilities to coexist at the same level of excellence. Each contributes a singular olfactory world. This expertise shapes the longevity of the fragrance, its depth and the way it resonates on the skin.

Chris Maurice

4 creations

Treizième Lune, Oblique Murmure, Jardin du Matin, Écorce Divine

A third-generation perfumer, Chris Maurice belongs to a tradition in which complexity is never decorative. His work rests on building dense architectures, able to embrace a great richness of materials without excess or saturation. Each ingredient is measured to support the whole, not to assert itself alone. At Reverentia, his contribution was decisive in anchoring the creations. He ensures their depth, stability and longevity, so that their olfactory richness endures on the skin.

Bertrand Duchaufour

1 creations

Ardent Vertige

Trained in classical French perfumery, Bertrand Duchaufour is renowned for crafting complex accords that balance luminous notes with woody or resinous depths. His mastery of natural materials and lasting structures lets him compose expressive perfumes. For Reverentia, he explored the duality between clarity and density, giving rise to compositions whose power does not assert itself at once but unfolds gradually.

Mark Buxton

1 creations

Nuit d'Opale

With an unconventional path, Mark Buxton develops a perfumery founded on clarity of intent. His style favours legible formulas, where each note plays a precise role in the overall balance. For him, boldness is never gratuitous: it serves a clear direction and identity. For Reverentia, he acts as a breath of air. His approach lightens the composition without impoverishing it, bringing out a structured simplicity and a contemporary vision of Haute Parfumerie.

Shadi Samra

3 creations

Premier Sillage, Instant Retourné, Ordalie d'Amande

Drawing on deep expertise in oriental materials, Shadi Samra approaches perfumery as a work of memory and transmission. His knowledge of resins, precious woods and natural materials is rooted in a nuanced understanding of their origin, their evolution and their behaviour over time. In his work with Reverentia, he transforms complex oriental materials into olfactory architectures at once distinct and elegant, without compromise.

Savoir-Faire

The Right Gesture

The sculptural bottle

The Reverentia bottle embodies a rigorous design. Beneath its sobriety lie precise technical choices and the highest standards. Designed and made in France by master glassmakers, it reflects the architectural vision of the Maison. Launched in 2023, its development required numerous prototypes to reach a stable, exact form. Every detail was measured to guarantee perfect precision. The vertical reliefs underline structural integrity and solidity. The French glass and the magnetic cap reinforce this expression of materiality and permanence.

Lasting presence

Since 2022, every formula has been revisited, refined and adjusted. One of the Maison’s creations required more than five years of development before reaching its definitive form, a testament to the patience and rigour underlying each composition. Reverentia is committed to selecting the noblest and rarest raw materials. They are chosen to exacting standards and shaped with precision. Made to last, the creations favour longevity and balance. The Maison maps the olfactory families: dark florals, structured woods, ambered resins and mineral accords.
